Southern Research conducts pharmacokinetic and toxicokinetic studies in standard animal models to determine systemic exposure and clearance rates of novel drug candidates. We can help you to determine blood levels associated with animal efficacy and the therapeutic index in animal safety models. Our scientists are experts in conducting these studies and the non-compartmental determination of PK and TK properties.
In addition, we can develop fit for purpose bioanalytical methods for routine PK studies and fully GLP-validated methods for analysis of TK samples in regulated toxicology studies. We have dedicated HPLC and mass spectrometry instruments, and our analytical chemists have experience and expertise to develop and optimization of bioanalytical methods in biological matrices (serum, plasma, urine, and CSF).
Southern Research will help you to solve routine matrix stability issues and will establish stability conditions for the proper storage of samples for your PK and TK studies. There is an easy transition to the conduct of MTD and Dose Range-Finding studies in our Toxicology group.
Our focus is on the rapid start and turnaround of PK data to facilitate the next stage of drug development.
We can test multiple compounds at once and help with lead selection and the determination of absolute oral bioavailability.
